This last Saturday, the University of Southern California Trojans (USC) played against the University of Colorado Buffaloes (CU). The top performer for USC was Boogie Ellis, who had 30 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds. Isaiah Collier also put up 25 points with 9 assists and 1 rebound. Despite their efforts, the Trojans lost 92-89 in a tight game. USC shot 46.6% from the field and 42.9% from three. A big factor of the game was rebounds, in which Colorado had 47 to USC’s 22. USC still played an amazing defensive game with 8 blocks and 11 steals, force Colorado’s 21 turnovers.
On Sunday the UCLA Bruins took a loss to the Utah Utes. The game was a nail biter as it was pretty close the whole time and ended with a score of 70-69. For Field goals they hit 25/63 which is also 39.7%. The 3 point game was not too good with a 5/21 or 23.8%. As for the free throws there were almost perfect hitting 14/15 or 93.3%. As the bruins also had 12 offensive rebounds and 25 defensive rebounds with a total of 37 rebounds. The team also had 7 assists, 4 blocks, 2 steals, 5 turnovers, and 17 personal fouls.
