Athlete Profile: Bella Hall

This year on our very own Hughson high track team we have Sophomore, Bella Hall. Bella participates in two parts of track and field, Shot put being a 4 kg ball, and discus being a 1 kg disc. She has been to two track meets already and her most recent scores have been 18´7” for shot put and 42´8” for discus.

Bella has been a participant in track and field for 2 years already and she’s already throwing pretty far. Bella stated, “coach Perry helps me a lot with my form and how to throw without hurting myself. He has been a big help, and he is a really good coach for everything, not just throwing.”

She also said, “next year I’m not sure if I’m going to track and field again but if I do I know that I will definitely try my best to be better than I am this year.¨ In conclusion, Bella has done awesome so far throughout this track season despite the fact she has only gone to two track meets.

Nichole Childers is a sophomore at Hughson Highschool. She was originally from Ceres and had gone to Ceres schools up until she transferred to Ross in 8th grade. She has played sports such as basketball, volleyball, and softball. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her friends, writing, drawing, painting, and she loves to sleep. After high school she plans on becoming an elementary school teacher, or even an art teacher. This is also her first year of journalism, and she's really looking forward to it.

Joseph Flores is 17 years old and a senior. Joseph has been attending Hughson High School for 2 years. He was born in Modesto, California. Joseph is most interested in writing about sports. His favorite sport is basketball and was involved in FFA for years.
