Most high school students reference high school as a movie. A lot of different things happen to students in high school, good and bad, and most make it out to tell the tale. Often as high schoolers we feel as if our lives were a movie. We asked students which movie our school would be if it got transformed into a film and their answers might surprise you.
Many students likened our school to Mean Girls because of the many cliques or general groups that sometimes form. English teacher Govett compared our school to Legends of the Fall because he said, “we have a good football team.”
Other students also compared Hughson High school to cartoon movies. Julia Daniels said our school was like Finding Nemo because, quote, “their school of fish is like our school of fish.” Sophia Spears compared our school to Shrek “in the scene where all the people have pitchforks and there’s torches because our school is chaotic but people are participative!” And Cienna Guillete said, “Oh my gosh! The Bee Movie because school is very repetitive.”
From all these different answers it is clear that our school is a blend of different experiences and perspectives. Whether you see it as a high school drama or kid cartoons, one thing is certain, our school is full of unique stories waiting to be told.
