A lot of new things have happened over the summer such as… new construction in the parking lot, new staff members being hired, and even the new freshman preparing to start this school year.
All of this that has happened over the summer has affected everyone in different ways, such as one of the teachers at HHS that was affected by the new construction. Mrs. Ruelas stated ¨I have had the same parking lot for 22 years. Even if I was running late everyone would leave the spot open for me.¨
Another opinion was not about the new construction but about the new teachers. Mr. Lighthall stated, ¨both of the new teachers are great!. We get to pick from a lot of quality candidates, so anyone that we pick is outstanding.¨
Mrs. Ruelas also had something to say about the freshman class stating, ¨they are very outgoing, They have made my first period very fun and easy to come to everyday.¨

I graduated from HHS in 1974 and I’m proud to see that the students and teachers are still so passionate about keeping the school a special place.
